The Lowest Part of the World (Dead Sea at Kempinski Hotel) Part 3

When I was little, I read somewhere that the Dead Sea is dying.

I wanted to see it with my eyes before the Dead Sea may disappear into a myth. So, I went after my time at the Lost City of Stone  (Petra) and the Vally of the Moon (Wadi Rum Desert)

When I went on March, Mother Earth was being unpredictable. One point it was raining. One point, the radiance of the sun was reaching out to all corners of the world.

~Can you sense the serenity?~

If you have an idea that is in your head constantly, it will happen. I just had a thought in my head to see the Dead Sea 13 years ago, and it happened without putting hard effort to it. Visualize your idea, live life and see how your ideas become real.

5 Things you may want to know if you decide to explore:

  • It’s not a dangerous place. We arrived around 10 pm and it was perfectly fine with us. We went on March 2016.

  • During night-time, there are many army who are guarding the main road along the Dead Sea. We were pulled over because they thought we were illegal immigrant who wanted to cross the border because we  stopped by the road to see the stars. It was good that we had a taxi driver who spoke both native language and English.

  • Taxi from the airport to the hotel is about 36 JD (Fixed price) ・ About 45 ~ 60 minutes

  • I recommend you to arrive during day time because the view is just beautiful. It’s not everyday you can go to Jordan, so plan your schedule to arrive during daytime!
